Sprint Cup: Daytona 500 Live Stream
The green flag drops on the 200-lap, 500
mile race that tears down the track on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the
Daytona International Speedway in Florida, the first big race of the
Sprint Cup Series season.
From the 15th of February through the big
race on Sunday, Speedweeks features traditional action-packed Shootout
and Duel 150 races to decide qualifiers and starting positions.
The main event — the historic 56th
running of the Daytona 500 — will be televised on FOX with a start time
of 1 PM ET. This year, also watch for an appearance by the US Airforce
Thunderbirds which will wow the crowds just before the flag drops at
Daytona.

In the pre-festivities leading to the
Daytone 500 race on Saturday, the Nationwide Series race was marred by a
massive crash that injured more than two dozen fans in the grandstands.
The accident happened on the last lap of the race when rookie driver
Kyle Larson lost control in the last lap when he was hit by driver Brad
Keselowski. The crash sent chunks of his car flying into the crowded
audience, seriously injuring two. Driver Kyle Larson was unhurt.

2013 Daytona 500 recap
It was history-making day for driver
Danica Patrick who became the first female ever to lead the opening lap
at the Daytona 500 — to finish in the Top Ten — as she came in 8th out
of a field of 43.
The winner? It was NASCAR superstar
driver Jimmie Johnson taking his second Daytona 500 win. Coming in
second was Dale Earnhardt Jr., and in third was Mark Martin.
